Farol Tower
A distinctive building that seamlessly blends traditional elements with modern, innovative features, reflecting a strong commitment to environmental sustainability.

The concept for the “Farol Tower” is based on the fusion of two distinct elements: a bird’s nest, symbolizing the place of birth, life, and shelter, and a column, which serves as a structural element that embodies culture and time.
The column-nest features a break that represents the average horizon line of the old city of Tirana. The upper portion symbolizes the modern city and its new urban declaration, specifically the regeneration of the Don Bosko area.
The plan follows an orthogonal grid that, like in ancient times, is oriented by cardinal points. At its core, it features stairways, elevators, and vertical shafts, which have become the pillars of this vibrant structure.
The composition of the façade is based on horizontal and vertical slabs, extensions of the internal walls or plates. These elements represent stability and progression, and can be interpreted as dynamic matrices of contemporary living societies.
The façade aims to preserve the harmony and integrity of traditional elements, utilizing them in a manner that reflects the cultural and architectural values of the place. While traditional elements are maintained throughout the structure, there is a significant incorporation of modern and innovative elements that, among other things, reflect a commitment to environmental sustainability.
